Thanksgiving

Last week we had a busy Thanksgiving. MB and I went to both families for a few hours each. It was fun to see everyone on both sides and get caught up. My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is the pies. I am not going to lie my MIL makes the best pies ever! I don't know what makes them so good. This year my SIL and her made several pies but as always the apple is amazing. So thanks to my SIL for the picture. It is making me hungry...time for another piece of apple pie! Happy Thanksgiving!

Winter Storm Warning

Well this week we have a huge winter storm warning. Normally we get these for snow in the mountains and they don't really have an affect on us. Not this one. It is supposed to be the biggest storm of the century! Blizzard like conditions. Heavy snow, High winds, Freezing temperatures. Just check out www.weather.com. So wish us luck that we don't get trapped in the storm.

Disney

I have inherited several things from my mom but my favorite thing is appreciation for Disney. I love Disney. Anything Disney. Disney movies. Disney Parks. Disney Hotels. Disney Cast Members. Walt Disney. Disney. Disney. Disney. But my most absolute favorite thing about Disney is Disneyland. The park is amazing and I have so many memories that I love to go back to see anything new or different. So here are a few shots of the fun we had at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park.

Got to love Mickey. By the way...yesterday was Mickey and Minnie's mouses official birthdays. So happy birthday Mickey!

Street in New Orleans Square where the Cafe Orleans is located. Super yummy!

The many boats of San Diego

My dad loves yachts. I am not sure why but he had plenty of time to see them will we were in San Diego on a seal tour. His favorite was the Silver Shalis. It came with a price tag of 60 million. Here are a few different yachts, boats, and cruisers that we came across.

Ya that's right 60 million dollars

America's Cup yacht!

The U.S. Navy going by. They closed down the harbor, sent helicopters, took pictures of every boat and everyone sailing, and even deployed a trained navy dolphin to make sure there were no enemy subs following the battleship into San Diego.

And of course a shot of seals (since that's what the tour was about)

Encounters of the animal kind

At the Safari Park Dad and I got a chance to feed some of the animals. It was awesome!

The giraffes kind of freaked me out. They bend their long necks around you and get in your bubble uninvited.
Loved the rhino's! This one had knocked his horn off. Ouch. Dad if feeding this guy apple slices.

Safari Park

Last week I went to So. California with a group from work. One of our stops was at the San Diego Zoo's Safari Park. It was pretty amazing with hundreds of animals living together like they would on the Africa savanna. See if you know each type animal.

Lots of crazy horns and colors

Awwww....

Two different animals fighting?

If you get up close you'll notice that these horns twist

Hint: This one lost his horn

These guys were mean and had bright blue eyes
