My Fair Lady

Earlier I mentioned that one of MB's favorite movies is My Fair Lady, so I thought that I would talk a little about why that it. First of all he identifies with Henry Higgins. This could be for a variety of reasons: Grumpyness, a belief that women are slightly irrational (I don't know where he got that idea), a belief in his own genius, and fair treatment for everyone. Each time we watch the movie he laughs and chuckles when Rex Harrison is on the screen. Personally, I think that his favorite line is "The question is not whether I've treated you rudely but whether you've ever heard me treat anyone else better." He also likes when Eliza swears at the races. A few of my favorite parts are Zoltan Karpathy, On the Street Where You Live, Eliza throwing the slippers at Professor Higgins, and the Embassy Ball with the Prince of Transylvania! All in all, this is one movie that we both enjoy.

Origami

I love origami. Maybe it is the straight lines or the accuracy of the folds, but I love to do origami. Here are a few one I made to give to MB on our anniversary. The flying Crane and ring came out nice. The dragon on the other hand...it has the basic shape of a dragon but he looks like he needs a trip to a chiropractor. I made I game out of them and made MB follow clues around. This is an activity that I really enjoy. I get to make mystic clues and puzzles. MB then struggles to figure them out. This time it actually took him about an hour and forty minutes to make it through all of the hints. Earlier this month he made me promise not to by him anything but I broke the rules and did anyway. His favorite movie is My Fair Lady (he identifies with Mr. Henry Higgins). Every time we stop by his parents house he borrows it for an extended amount of time. So it was time to get our own copy. The good news is I enjoy it too. So both of us got to enjoy our anniversary gift. I especially loved watching him trying to unravel my awesome clues but he did to well; I guess I will have to make them harder next time.

Anniversary Slide Show

2nd Anniversary

Today is our second anniversary! It is crazy to think we have now been married two years. In that time we have moved twice, I have graduated College, MB has finished his time at Weber and is transferring to the University of Utah, We have gone to Disneyland twice and San Diego once, MB has had three different jobs and been unemployed twice, I competed a research project and am finishing my thesis, We have made tons of new friends, had two different primary classes, I cut my hair and the list goes on and on. With so much to do its not surprising that the last two years have gone by fast. I am hoping for another year just as good!
