Pool Party

This weekend MB decided to throw a pool party. He got everything ready from the pool to the food. That made it a low-stress party for me. Lots of our friends came and we all had a good time swimming, eating, and enjoying the nice weather. Sadly, no one felt like using the volleyball net. Maybe next time.

Horse Show Advice #99: Always have your show clothes ready.
This horse show was a lot of fun even though I could only go one day. Since trainer Kari rotates which horse she rides in the flat, it was finally my turn to ride Rocko. So, of course, I was all dress and ready to ride early. It also turned out that Avalon did not have anyone to ride him. I was able to ride both him and Rocko! Avalon was fun to ride and Rocko was perfect. It was a nice horse show!

Horse Show Advice

Horse Show Advice #15: Remember to count

We had tons of fun at the last horse show. Kari, Mom, and I all got to ride Rocko so we were pretty busy. Not only was there a lot of different classes going on but it rained everyday. Rain is not much of a problem with indoor shows but for shows on the polo fields it is a problem. Several days we would have to race the rain, lightening, and thunder back to the stables. Rocko did not much like the sound of the rain or thunder but he still managed to be good. On Saturday we were finally able to show. Rocko and I had some great rounds (we only pulled one rail the whole time), but unfortunatly for me I forgot how to count. I forgot that one of the lines was a six stride instead of a five stride. So, of course, I asked Rocko to move up for the five. It was lovely we cantered in and our in a five stride and then I remembered it was six! Well, too bad. We still had a fun time.
