So, I have finally been able to blog. It's been awhile so my apologies but here is something new. This January Mom, Dad, and I went on our yearly work familiarization trip. It's pretty fun because we get to see a lot of parks and eat some great food, but we have to walk everywhere. After the first few days when your legs are numb and the feet have subsided into just a dull ache rather than sharp pains it is fun. This year we went to the World-Famous San Diego Zoo. I was so excited mostly due to Elephant Odyssey! It is a cool exhibit that opened last April. Everyone else in the family has been to see it except for me. Finally I got a chance. It was really cool because the elephants are really close and you can see the workers taking care of them (like doing check-ups and feeding them). Also they had put up some mammoth statues to show the elephants ancient relatives.
Here I am getting stepped on by a Mammoth. Unfortunately I couldn't get a picture slapping an elephant for Brian. Apparently they don't allow that.
Also, living next to the elephants are my second-favorite animal ever! (right after Rocko) We lovingly call it the beaver-pig but it's actual name is Capybara. Fun fact: the Capybara's scientific name
Hydrochoerus means water pig also this is the world's largest member of the rodent family.
Also, In the 16th century, the Catholic Church classified the capybara, which can swim, as a fish so that the meat could be eaten on Fridays and during Lent. Wild.
Mom only stayed a few days then drove back home. Dad and I got the chance to ride Amtrak. It was cool and had comfortable seats.
Since Pete is going to be leaving in only a few weeks MB and him are spending lots of time together. Normally MB will convince me to head over to Mom and Dad's house to "study." Once we arrive he goes straight to the basement (where I think Peter lives) and they start playing Xbox. They play and talk for several hours becoming men by killing electronic enemies. They have some sort of code-talk about girls, college, mission stuff, ect... plus I am not allowed. Here are a few of their favorite games. Two posts in a week I am really on fire!
